The Bapu Ayurvedic College & Hospital was established with an aim to restore the glory of Ayurveda through quality education imparted to hungry minds. While there is no dearth of Ayurvedic medical practitioners in India, there is a need to streamline scientific Ayurvedic medical science education and offer it to young students who wish to practice Ayurveda as a form of medicine.

The institution strives to maintain the rich heritage of Ayurveda and live up to the legacy of the Indian physicians of old, who were one with nature, and cured every illness using herbs and plants, and spread their knowledge across the world. What started as a form of personal social responsibility of the eminent philanthropist and educationist Prakash Chandra Rai led to the founding of Bapu Ayurvedic College & Hospital. BAMS COURSE DETAILS BAMS COURSE (5& ½ YEARS) IS APPROVED BY MINISTRY OF AYUSH, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, AND NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR INDIAN SYSTEM OF MEDICINE (NCISM). To view permission letter from Ministry of Ayush, Government of India click here Brief details are as follows: Course Duration Eligibility Minimum age Education Medium BAMS (100 seats) 5 ½ Years 10+2 with PCB (50% marks in each of the subjects) 17 years** English This course is designed to produce graduates with a profound knowledge of Ayurved and relevant study of Modern sciences. They would be competent practitioners in all branches of Ayurved as well as efficient Teachers and Research workers in various fields. This will enable them to contribute to the health needs of India in effective way. Ayurveda is based on the theory that small amounts of substances can cure symptoms caused by larger amounts of the same substance. About 5 ½ years Degree in Ayurveda Course: B.A.M.S. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION IN BAMS The eligibility criteria to seek admission in Bachelor of Ayurveda education is as under :- 1.) 12th standard with science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Government and Recognized Education Boards/ University with at least 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 2.) For reserved category or special category like physically handicapped student in 10+2 they shall be given relaxation in marks for admission in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery as per rules for time being in force of U.P. Govt. 3.) Foreign students having passed eligibility criteria of Govt. of India, Ministry of AYUSH /NCISM or any other equivalent qualification as permitted by Govt. of India, U.P.
